A test port at every detector.

The DSDS routes plenum-rated tubing from the duct to an accessible, ground-level port. Open the cap, spray canned smoke, and the test smoke enters the duct airstream upwind of the detector's sampling tubes — exactly as NFPA 72 requires.

Duct Smoke Delivery System

Routes 1" plenum-rated tubing from the duct to a convenient, uninhibited ground-level access point — so any detector, however hard to reach, is tested from where the technician stands.

Built on the code, not around it.

The magnet test closes a circuit and creates a record — it never proves the detector can detect smoke. The DSDS makes the real test the easy one.

"…test duct smoke detectors that use sampling tubes to ensure that they will properly sample the airstream in the duct using a method acceptable to the manufacturer or in accordance with their published instructions."
